Applications: requirements, announcement and merit ranking

Admission to the PhD course is allowed to:

  • students with an Italian Master Degree

  • students with a non-Italian academic qualification issued by a university and recognised as equivalent to the Italian 2nd cycle degree qualification (i.e. Master Degree); if the foreign qualification has not been recognised as equivalent yet, the Steering Committee of the PhD Course will decide on its equivalence.

Call for admission to the PhD Courses 2019/20 (XXXV cycle) – Applications deadline: May 14th, 2019 (1:00 p.m. Italian time)

Foreign applicants can apply following exactly the same procedure as Italian applicants. In case, there is any position reserved only to foreign applicants, you will find it specified it in the announcement . All the remaining positions are both for Italian and foreign applicants.

    It is strongly suggested to apply also to the bourses with mandatory thesis topic.
    In this way the candidate compete for a larger number of bourses, thus increasing the likehood of success.
