| He serves as a reviewer for several international journals, including: International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Operations Management Research, Journal of Operations Management and Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management. |
| He has coordinated several research projects at national and international level. |
| His interests mainly concern the topic of innovation and product development, improvement of competences and knowledge management. He has dealt with these topics both from a theoretical and empirical point of view. In these fields he has published several works both nationally and internationally. |

| Roberto Filippini is full professor of Management of Innovation at the University of Padua (1991 – present). He was Director of the Department of Management and Technology of the University of Padua from 1991 to 2000. He was Coordinator of the PhD Programme in Management Engineering based in the University of Padua from 1994 to 1998, and he is currently member of the PhD Board Committee. He has been President of the Faculty of Management Engineering at the University of Padua from 2005 to 2008. He is currently Vice Rector of the University of Padua for European Research Programme and member of the Board of the CUOA Business School. |

| He teaches Management of Innovation at the Faculty of Engineering and Management, Padua University and New Product Development at the MBA and Executive MBA of the CUOA Business School. The teaching philosophy is based on the goal to help students and managers to understand the practical and theoretical aspects of innovation and new product development. This goal is reached also using extensive discussion of case studies. |
